Accessibility

Tools that work for everyone.

We design Primova to meet WCAG 2.1 AA standards. Here's what's in place today and what we're improving.

Our commitment

Primova should be usable by everyone — keyboard-only, screen-reader, low-vision, or any combination. We aim for WCAG 2.1 AA conformance across the site and treat accessibility as a feature, not a checkbox.

What’s in place

  • Semantic HTML throughout (headings, landmarks, lists).
  • Keyboard navigation for every interactive element.
  • Visible focus rings on all focusable controls.
  • Color contrast ratios meet WCAG AA in both light and dark modes.
  • prefers-reduced-motion support — animations are disabled when the user has indicated a preference.
  • ARIA labels on icon-only buttons and other non-text controls.
  • Alt text on meaningful images; decorative imagery is marked with aria-hidden.

What we’re still improving

  • Live-region announcements for tool processing states (e.g., upload progress, errors).
  • Keyboard shortcuts for power users (currently ⌘K opens the search palette).
  • Full screen-reader walkthroughs for each interactive tool.

Reporting an issue

If you encounter an accessibility barrier, please tell us. Email hello@primova.app with as much detail as possible — the page, the issue, and what assistive technology you’re using. We respond within a couple of days.
