The short version
Your files stay on your device. The vast majority of Primova’s tools (image compressor, PDF merge, JSON formatter, and so on) process your files entirely in your browser. They are never uploaded to a server. You can verify this in your browser DevTools → Network tab.
A small number of features (heavy OCR, large PDF → Word conversions) run on our servers. These are clearly labelled in the tool UI before you upload anything.
What data we collect
- Analytics: We use Plausible Analytics, a privacy-friendly analytics service. It tracks aggregate page views and referrers — no cookies, no personal data, no cross-site tracking.
- Account data (optional): If you create an account later (currently no signup is needed), we’ll store your email, name, and any saved work you choose to associate with the account.
- Server-side tool inputs: When you use a server-side tool (clearly labelled), we receive your file, process it, return the result, and delete the file from our servers within 24 hours. We never inspect the contents.
- Support emails: If you email us, we retain the message thread for as long as needed to help you.
What we don’t do
- We do not sell or share your data with any third party.
- We do not run ad networks or third-party trackers.
- We do not retain files processed in your browser.
- We do not require an account to use the basic tools.
Cookies
We use a minimal set of first-party cookies for theme preference (light/dark mode) and language. We do not use third-party tracking cookies. See the cookie policy for the full list.
Your rights
You can request a copy of any data we hold about you, or ask us to delete it, by emailing hello@primova.app. We respond within 30 days.
